HAPPY 82nd Birthday, Grammal!

Today is my grammal's 82nd birthday. I wanted to write a little something to/for her. She is a wonderful grandma. When I was in kindergarten she would come and pick me up from school and take me back to her house until my mom got out of work. I always felt right at home there. I refered to it as my 2nd home. I remember she used to take me shopping at Kmart and they had the coke/cherry slushie machine. And she would get one for me. They also had the carosel outside that I always used to ride. She used to play games with me. Such as Gin Rummy, Go Fish and yes Old Maid. The reason that I said it that way cause I remember how much she "loved" getting the OLD MAID card. NOT!! You definately knew when she drew it. She had a tell. She was was and is a very important person in my life. She continues to be a big part of my life. Even though many miles seperate us (and believe me she know how many!) We have still remained very close. I used to call her everyday just to tell her about my day and to find out about her's. When I was younger she became a foster grandparent at an elementary school. I know that she really enjoyed doing that. Now that I live away, I "used" to go up there every year and spend time with my family and my grammal. I know that it meant a lot to her.
She used to come to everything of mine from school plays, to grandparents day.
I was so excited when I was able to call her and tell her last year, that she was going to have another great-grandchild again. I am so thankful that Wesley was able to meet her and I pray that she will be able to see him again.
I just wanted to share with you a little bit about my grandmother. She is such a wonderful grammal and I Love You very much and Happy Birthday!
